The following are answers to questions you may have. If you have a question and cannot find an appropriate answer on this page or if you think we should add something to this page, please contact us.

How soon will I get a response to an emailed inquiry?

We will respond within 2 business days. Weekends are not business days. If you do not receive a response within 2 business days it's possible that we didn't receive your message. Please email us info@kaleidoscopecosmetics.com to let us know that you are still awaiting a response.

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept Paypal (both credit card and non credit card payments) as our website utilizes a Paypal shopping cart, or Money Order/Cashiers Check. We do not accept Personal Checks under any circumstances - please do not send a personal check, it will be returned to you.

Where do I send Money Order/Cashiers Check payments.

Please contact us and let us know which items you will be purchasing along with your name and postal details. We will then provide our postal address where you can send payment to. Please ensure that you send a copy of your order, name and postal address along with your payment. It may be very time consuming to go through our records to locate your details and this could delay the delivery of your items.

Why do I have to contact you first? (For those paying with Money Order or Cashier's Check only!)

We ask that you contact us first so that we can put your items aside and ensure they are available and ready to send to you when your payment arrives. This also helps us to manage our inventory more efficiently. We also ask that you contact us so that we have a record of who you are and the items you want in case you forget to send this information with your payment. If we can find no record of your information and the information does not accompany your payment, we cannot send you your items.

Do you provide free samples?

Sorry, we do not provide free samples. We are a very small business, and simply cannot afford to provide free samples AND keep our prices so low. In order for us provide free samples, we would need to significantly increase our prices to be able to cover the expense of sample jars and shipping. This is something we have chosen not to do. Jars can be ordered individually through our webstore if you would like to sample them before placing a larger order. Thank you for you understanding.

Can I return jars if I don't like them etc?

Due to hygenic reasons, jars cannot be returned. Please ensure that you make your selections carefully and ask all questions before making a purchase. If you are unsure about the actual sizes of these jars - please contact us first. Jars cannot be returned if they are not the size you were expecting etc. since we make every effort to make size comparisons to well known product packaging. If you are not familiar with our products we strongly recommend that you purchase one of each item you are interested in first. Bear in mind that jars that you may have purchased elsewhere may not be identical to ours. Should you receive items which you believe are faulty, please contact us to rectify the situation within 3 days of receipt.

Please note: we do not refund shipping costs.

What shipping options do you offer?

Currently we only offer shipping via USPS First Class or Priority Mail. Shipping is based on package weight and destination and is calculated at checkout.

Do you supply private label mineral cosmetics?

No.

Can I use your mica powders as makeup? Are your mica powders eyeshadows?

Our mica powders are cosmetic grade intended for use in the formulation of mineral makeup and other cosmetic products. Some *could* be used as is for eyeshadows but we would not advise it. If the products are not mixed with other ingredients e.g. titanium dioxide, zinc you may experience adhesion issues. Therefore, we do not advertise these powders as "makeup" but merely mica powders.

Do you ship internationally?

Sorry, we do not ship to international locations (including Canada). We only ship within the USA.

Shipping Charges

Generally, shipping is calculated accurately. However, due to the sheer number of jar combinations possible, you may find that some combinations yield a higher than normal shipping charge. If you believe that shipping has been significantly overcharged on the items you wish to order, please contact us before finalizing your order, we will be happy to check on it for you!

Packages will be shipped to the "Invoice" address you provide during checkout. EXCEPTION: If an "Invoice" address AND "Delivery" address are provided during checkout, packages will be sent to the "Delivery" address (assuming that it is different from your "Invoice" address). Shipping addresses provided in Paypal payment notifications will not be considered at all. We view Paypal payment notifications as just that - notification that a payment has been received, nothing more. We do not use the address provided by Paypal when shipping your items, nor do we compare the address you provide during checkout with the address provided by Paypal, before shipping your items.

Please ensure the correct information is provided before submitting your order.

When do you ship orders?

We ship orders within 3 - 5 business days. You will be notified via email if the shipping of your order is delayed

If the shipping charge for your order is less than $3.85, please allow 7 - 10 business days for the delivery of your package. If the shipping charge for your order is $3.85 or more, please allow 3 - 6 business days for the delivery of your package.
